With November elections looming on the horizon, The White House is addressing the many fears associated with medical coverage and the Health Care Bill, and revealing details of the bill designed to appeal to voters.

For example, according to the Washington Post $9 million dollars a year for the next four years will be dedicated to research into breast cancer treatments and preventative measures for younger women who are diagnosed with the disease.

Small business health insurance is another hot topic; in particular tax incentives that would minimize the cost of medical coverage when purchased by small business owners have been publicized in order to help foster an understanding of how the bill will impact the public.

Small business health insurance is typically more expensive because small business owners lack the bargaining power that larger companies wield with insurers.

Facts on:

Medical Coverage

Did you know...
$9 million dollars a year for the next four years is appropriated for breast cancer research by the healthcare bill?

But medical coverage, and in particular the healthcare bill, have created a deep divide between Democrats and Republicans. Concerns regarding costs abound, particularly in light of the economic recession that has dogged American interests for the last 3 years.

On the other hand, most business owners have seen a rise of about 28% in the last year for small business health insurance, leading many to recognize that the current health care system is deeply flawed.

Other hot topics include Medicare cuts, funding to fill the "doughnut hole," and services that will be included in the healthcare bill like free preventative checkups and no lifetime limits on coverage.

With only a month to go before midterm elections, it's tough to say whether or not the healthcare bill will survive until 2014, when the majority of its provisions are predicted to take effect.
